Eureka Springs at Christmas

Restless for a road trip, as I often am, I decided to go explore Eureka Springs on a drizzly, cold December day. Since the drive would only be a little over two hours, I figured I would just make it a day trip. I arrived early in the morning, before any of the shops were open so I drove through town and found this little music park on the north side of town.

I finally made my way back town and found a parking place next to trolley station and began walking through town with my camera. Eureka Springs became popular in the late 1800's for its healing waters. This historic town, with its steep, winding streets has beautiful Victorian architecture with many interesting nooks and crannies to explore.

I always love to go into the alleys of old towns and see what's behind the buildings.
